Joggers Tech Pack Template
Bottoms are where most fit problems hide. Front rise, back rise, thigh and knee width decide whether joggers look tapered or baggy, and a vague waistband spec leads to elastic that is too tight or rolls over. This template includes 12 graded points of measure, a fleece BOM with elastic, drawcord, eyelets and pocket bags, and waistband instructions.

Construction notes
- Waistband: elastic fully encased, drawcord exits through front eyelets.
- Side seam pockets: bartack at top and bottom of each pocket opening.
- Inseam and outseam: 4-thread overlock; crotch seam reinforced with twin-needle topstitch.
- Leg cuffs: 4-thread overlock, coverstitch topstitch.
- Stitch density: 12-14 stitches per inch.
- Fabric must be pre-shrunk; max shrinkage 5% in length and width after 3 home washes.
Fabric
Joggers often share the hoodie fleece so the set matches. If you want a lighter pant, French terry around 280 GSM is a common alternative.
Tips before you send it to a factory
- Give both relaxed and extended waist measurements so the factory picks the right elastic.
- Inseam is usually not graded for regular-length styles. If you offer short and long lengths, add them as separate rows.
- Bartack both ends of each pocket opening and reinforce the crotch seam.
FAQ
What is the difference between front rise and back rise?
Front rise runs from the crotch seam to the top of the waistband at the front; back rise does the same at the back and is always longer to give room to sit.
Should I grade the inseam?
Most brands keep one inseam for regular length across sizes. Grade it only if your fit sample shows the smaller or larger sizes need it.
