Sweatshirt Tech Pack Template
A crewneck sweatshirt is mostly about proportions: body length against chest width, the depth of the neckline and the height of the ribs. This template gives you 13 graded points of measure, a fleece and rib bill of materials, and construction notes for a set-in sleeve crewneck.

Construction notes
- Set-in sleeves; all main seams 4-thread overlock.
- Neck rib: attached with 4-thread overlock, coverstitch topstitch; back neck covered with tape.
- Optional V-insert at center front neck: confirm with sample.
- Cuffs and bottom rib: 4-thread overlock, coverstitch topstitch.
- Stitch density: 12-14 stitches per inch.
- Fabric must be pre-shrunk; max shrinkage 5% in length and width after 3 home washes.
Fabric
The same fleece you use for hoodies works for crewnecks, typically 300–400 GSM. A heavier rib (around 320 GSM) on the neck, cuffs and hem keeps them from flaring after washing.
Tips before you send it to a factory
- State whether you want a V-insert at the front neck. It is a small detail that factories will not add unless asked.
- Rib heights (neck, cuff and hem) are what make a crewneck look premium. Keep them consistent across sizes.
- If you want raglan sleeves instead of set-in sleeves, say so in the construction notes and adjust the armhole measurement.
FAQ
What is the difference between a hoodie and a sweatshirt tech pack?
A sweatshirt drops the hood, drawcord and pocket measurements but adds neck width, neck drop and neck rib height.
Do I need a separate tech pack for each colorway?
No. Use one tech pack and list colorways on the last page; only create a new one if the construction changes.
